Candy Overload

Today’s the day I convince the children that they must have forgotten that their chocolate bunny was already tail-less when they went to bed last night.

Silly children, of course you ate that part yesterday. Or perhaps the cat licked it? Kitties love chocolate and are never to be trusted around it. Yes, the cat.

If there was a cat-proof Easter basket alarm system, my kids would have anted up their allowances years ago.

I still don’t know why they leave baskets unattended at night. Do they not remember what happens at night after Easter? Tiny elves tiptoe into the house and eat all the Resee’s peanut butter eggs. The licorice jellybeans are curiously left untouched.
