Check Out StyleUnited for Personalized Beauty and Fashion Advice

I’ve spent some time recently checking out the new website, StyleUnited. I started by taking the assessments for my specific fashion, hair, makeup and skin preferences. It was fun picking the looks I liked the best to help the site figure out my style.

When I finished my Fashion Focused profile, it pegged my fashion look as “Casual Cool with a hint of Classic Tailored”. I would say this is spot on. Then it suggested some clothes and shoes I could add to my Style List. Yes, please!

StyleUnited picked some clothes and shoes I really liked, from stores like J. Crew, Jones New York and New Balance. These are places I already shop or want to shop. I’m sure what it picks for you would be different and tailored to your style. I can save the suggestions for fashion inspiration or purchase the items with a few clicks.

StyleUnited is a place you can return to again and again for skin care, hair care, cosmetic, and fashion advice that is personalized for you. The Tips and Trends section offers up-to-the-minute beauty advice based on information you’ve given in the quizzes.

I have oily skin, so I get advice and product suggestions especially for that problem. And it knows how old I am, so my suggestions are appropriate for my, ahem, age.

The site is still in beta, and I did experience some problems. After I completed some of the quizzes, the wait-a-minute circle spun forever until the site timed out. I never did get my Mad for Makeup answers to load.

Still, I expect improvements and will return again. The appeal of beauty and style advice that is targeted to me has too much appeal. I really liked not having to weed through products, clothes and advice more appropriate for my daughter or my mother. Because nobody wants to see me in skinny jeans.
