“There’s Been an Awakening” on Instagram

Instagram is my favorite social medium. Not just because I enjoy pictures of dogs and your latte, or because my mom’s not there.

Instagram continues to make great changes to the platform. Previously known for its square-only posting format,  now they’ve added landscape and portrait formatting that will make movie clips or pictures from my trip to Paris look great.

And this morning, Star Wars (@StarWars on Instagram) released an exclusive look at their upcoming film, THE FORCE AWAKENS, using Instagram’s new landscape orientation.

As part of this collaboration, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS is the very first video content to be showcased in this new format for the Instagram users.

I just watched it seventeen times, dried my tears on the hem of my Yoda t-shirt, called my teenagers into the room, and made them watch the video too.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS arrives in theaters everywhere on December 18th!

I have a countdown going until the December 18 movie release. Also, our family Halloween costumes are underway. I’m sizing the Pomeranian for his Darth Vader costume now.

If you liked the video snippet that’s on Instagram, watch the longer teaser trailer (again)!

Star Wars has been a constant in my life since I was seven years old and saw the twin suns of Tatooine set on the big screen. I look forward with a lot of hope for this newest movie. Pretty much, I’m just in it for the Wookie. Anne Solo Star Wars
